The Freedom of Information Act, 2000 (FoIA) provides members of the public with a general right of access to the recorded information held by the University. The legislation works to promote openness across the public sector.

Environmental information

The Environmental Information Regulations, 2004 (EIR) provide a general right of access to environmental information held by the University. They are closely related to the FoIA.

To request environmental information, please follow the steps in our Finding Information page. You do not need to state that you are requesting information under EIR when making your request.
