In years one and two, all students study five strands which together cover the core material required of a degree in psychology. In year three students are able to specialise in several ways: following a selection of advanced modules each of which draw on the research expertise and specialist interests of our faculty; completing a literature survey (an extended piece of writing on a psychological topic of your choice which you research independently under the guidance of a supervisor); running an empirical project - an original piece of psychological research which draws on the skills and knowledge you have developed over the preceding years.
