Overseas applicants
We routinely receive many applications from around the world, and are quite used to dealing flexibly with a wide range of qualifications.
Additional information is available on our International Students Section.
We consider carefully all of the information provided on your UCAS form before deciding whether or not to make you an offer.
If you already possess appropriate qualifications we may decide to make you an unconditional offer. If you have yet to take your exams we may decide to make the offer conditional upon a certain level of success in your exams. If you are re-taking an exam, a higher than normal grade may be required. We do not normally use tariffs (point scores) in our A-level offers, although we would try to be flexible in special circumstances.
Given the experimental emphasis of our course it is likely to be of particular interest to students with science qualifications, and at least one A-level or equivalent qualification should normally be in a science subject, which may include Psychology. In practice, the majority of successful applicants will offer at least two sciences. We do not normally accept General Studies. You must typically have a grade B qualification in Mathematics or Statistics at GCSE or possess some equivalent qualification. We are happy to consider qualifications equivalent to A-levels (see table above for examples)
An offer may be made where appropriate, and typical offers for a selected range of qualifications are listed in the Home applicants guidelines for 2010/11 applications round (2011/12 entry) table.
