As an internationally renowned research department we have a vibrant community of research postgraduates. We offer full-time and part-time research degrees leading to MPhil and PhD qualifications in all areas of research covered by members of faculty.

We provide a stimulating yet supportive atmosphere, combined with access to research facilities that are second-to-none. Our research postgraduates work closely with leading researchers in their chosen field and their projects are often published in top international journals.

Prospects

Our research postgraduates are highly successful on completion of their degrees. The majority take up lectureships and postdoctoral research positions. Others have careers in health or industry.
