QS World Rankings 2018

The Department has confirmed its place among the world's most highly regarded departments for the subject of Psychology. The department is ranked 18th in the UK and within the world top 100 in the QS rankings.
Published annually since 2011, the QS World University rankings by subject highlight the world’s top universities in a range of popular subject areas, covering 48 subjects in 2018. Universities are scored according to academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact (number of citations per paper).
The subjects of Archaeology (12), Social Policy and Administration (joint 20) and English Literature and Language (27) at York remain in the world top 30. History and Development Studies were also ranked in the world top 100.
