Recognition for exceptional teaching

Congratulations to Dr Shirley-Ann Rueschemeyer who has been received a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award.

The award recognises the contributions which Shirley-Ann has made across a wide range of learning and teaching activities. The assessment panel praised her role as an energetic and influential Chair of the Board of Studies who has disseminated good practice to the broader University community.

The panel commended Shirley-Ann’s committment and aptitude for teaching, and for the resources that she created which are appreciated by students. Her innovative developments include peer-to-peer learning, an online textbook which facilitates interactive learning, and the introduction of a new video feedback technique.
