Director of Teaching and Learning

The Department of Psychology at the University of York is seeking to appoint a Director of Teaching and Learning.

This is a new role, created to support our commitment to outstanding teaching and learning.  The appointee will have experience in managing innovation and delivery of teaching, along with knowledge of the national context relevant to psychology.  We will appoint at the level of Senior Lecturer or Professor, according to experience.

The Department of Psychology has been placed among the top-100 psychology departments in the QS world university rankings every year since 2013. Research in Psychology, Psychiatry, and Neuroscience at York was ranked 4th in the UK in the most recent national assessment of research quality (REF2014). The Department has held an Athena SWAN Silver Award since 2007 in recognition of its commitment to supporting women in science.
