Applying

Whether you are applying from overseas or from the United Kingdom, all applications for our degree courses must be made through UCAS. Applications can be completed online through UCAS at the website address below. You can also track on-line what stage your application is at with UCAS. Alternatively a hard-copy of the application form and further information can be obtained from UCAS directly:

Your UCAS application will initially be received and dealt with by our central admissions team. Applications are carefully reviewed by the admissions staff based on the information provided on the form alone. The Department of Politics does not interview candidates unless they are mature applicants (over 21) , and any such invitations for interview are at the discretion of the Admissions Tutor. We aim to make an offer within days of receipt and consideration of the UCAS application, but decisions may take longer if we require further information or clarification from the applicant or from their current or previous education provider. During periods of peak demand we may also decide to hold a certain number of applications in order to be able to determine whether places may be available later in the application season.
