How to apply
All applications for our degree programmes are made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Applications can be made through the UCAS website, where your progress can be tracked online.
The UCAS code for the University of York is Y50.
If you are seriously considering opting for one of our 'Year in Europe' programmes, it is essential that you indicate this on your application form. This is to ensure you are given the appropriate language training before going abroad.
Once we receive your application from the central Student Recruitment Office, we will process it as quickly as possible. We then invite all promising applicants to a Departmental Visit Day during which you will have an interview with a member of staff. If you are not based in the UK and cannot attend a Visit Day then alternative arrangements will be made.
