Profile

Biography

After my first jobs in Graz and in Innsbruck, I went to the US and received my PhD from Princeton. My journey back seems to have been permanently interrupted by my time here at York. After starting out with epistemology and turning, via decision theory, to ethics, I am now (in some of my work) moving back to epistemology.

Overview

I am working in ethics (theoretical and applied), in reasons and rationality, and in epistemology.  I know a bit about the formal side of ethics and epistemology. Outside of my core areas, I have also played a role in supervising students in political philosophy.
