Support for Schools and Colleges

Talks and visits

We are happy to visit schools within easy travelling distance of York to speak to groups (of at least 12-15) year 12 and 13 students about studying philosophy at university, or to give talks supporting their A Level work.

We can offer a range of talks - Philosophy Questions - related to our varied research interests.

Other work with schools

If your school group is visiting York do get in touch, and we’ll see if we can arrange for you to visit the Department.

We run our own free philosophy conference for sixth form students in most years, and can contribute to conferences or HE Fairs at schools reasonably close to York.
