Visiting students

Visiting students have always been an important part of the intellectual culture at our department. We hope that your study with us will be rewarding. Moving to a new institution, whether for a term or even a whole year, is a great opportunity to get acquainted with new ways of studying philosophy.

The links below should provide you with information about the forms of assessment, study and modules you can expect while studying with our department. If anything is not covered here, please do contact us with any questions you may have about your study here.

To discuss issues related to your studies contact:
Dr Fiora Salis - fiora.salis@york.ac.uk

Choosing modules

All visiting students must discuss their module choices with  fiora.salis@york.ac.uk before these can be approved.

Other information

See the ‘Quicklinks’ on our page For Current Students, and the relevant pages (Undergraduate, Taught Postgraduate, Research Postgraduate) beneath this for further information about your studies.

The University’s own advice for visiting students is also available.
