Horners Book Grants For SHAP

The Worshipful Company of Horners wishes to encourage centres to adopt the Salters Horners Advanced Physics (SHAP) course. They are therefore making book grants available to centres to help with the cost of implementing the course.

Book grants of up to £250 per centre are available to schools and colleges setting up SHAP for first teaching in 2012. Such centres will either be introducing post-16 physics from scratch, or switching over to SHAP from another course – including the concept-led approach to Edexcel GCE physics.

Applications must be submitted as email attachments using the form available via this link

Please download and complete the form then email it to Joanna MacDonald, joanna.macdonald@york.ac.uk in the SHAP project Office at the University of York.

Applicants should note that the publishers of SHAP materials offer discounts for bulk purchase. Centres applying for Horners grants are expected to take full advantage of any such discounts or special offers from the publishers. However, the full list prices are to be entered on the grant application form.

Further details of publications can be found at the Pearson website

Successful applicants will be asked to provide copies of invoices.
