Science to support policy

CNAP has an excellent track-record of using its expertise to provide advice and support to policy-makers nationally and internationally.  The activities range from offering information to government consultations through to representation on high level work groups.

CNAP also undertakes science to support policy projects such as co-ordinating EPOBIO, an international project funded through the European Union’s Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) to realise the economic potential of plant-derived raw materials.  Directed by Professor Dianna Bowles, the EPOBIO objective was to design new generations of bio-based products derived from plant raw materials that will reach the market place 10-15 years from now.

The reports arising from the project may be downloaded from this website or a request for hard copies sent to Professor Dianna Bowles’ secretary Mrs Jean Sheridan
