Regular programme of outreach

The CNAP Artemisia project has a programme of outreach activities for school age pupils and the general public.

A free workshop developed for KS4/5 pupils is currently available for secondary schools within reasonable travelling distance of York.

This 1 to 2 hour session looks at the problem of malaria and how the CNAP team are using the latest genetic advances to help improve the supply of anti-malarial treatments.

The session covers plant science, genetics and infectious diseases, as well as looking beyond the laboratory to consider the social impacts of CNAP's science.

CNAP also regularly presents at science festivals, botanical gardens,
science centres and other events for the public.
