User tests

It is essential that the varieties we have developed are compatible with commercial manufacturing processes. We consult regularly with extractors, processors and ACT manufacturers. The highest performing plant lines are subjected to industry testing.

For example, plant material from large-scale field experiments is sent for pilot extraction by artemisinin producers to test the artemisinin yield and purity of extracts from our new varieties.
