Field trials

The project’s most promising plant lines are being extensively tested for their yield, robustness and resistance to pests and diseases at field trial sites in China, East Africa, Madagascar and India. These trials enable us to assess our hybrids under a range of climatic conditions and find those most capable of performing well in the main regions of commercial cultivation.

Early results are promising and demonstrate that some lines can significantly outperform
the current market leader, Artemis.
