DLF-Trifolium is the world leading grass and clover seed company with a century-long history of traditional breeding, which has been substantially complemented with biotech research over the last two decades. As part of its biotech activities DLF-Trifolium has developed routine transformation and regeneration protocols not only for commercially important temperate grass species, including perennial ryegrass, tall fescue, red fescue and Kentucky bluegrass, but also for the grass model plant Brachypodium distachyon. DLF-Trifolium will contribute with this experience to test several putative trait genes in transgenic B. distachyon and other temperate grasses.
