Speaker: Professor Tony Ryan OBE, University of Sheffield

Professor Ryan shot to prominence when his 2002 Royal Institution Christmas Lectures were seen by 4.5 million viewers on Channel 4 and many millions more across the world.  His research interests include polymer synthesis and behaviour.  His commitment to public engagement in Science and Technology led in 2005 to him being awarded an OBE for services to Science.
