International Student Pre-Arrival Guide
As an international student you will be sent a International Student Pre-arrival Guide (PDF 
, 454kb) to help you prepare you begin your studies here at York.
Tier 4 Visa holders
All students who require a Tier 4 visa or entry clearance to enter the UK must by law provide a copy of their passport and visa details to the University. As soon as you have been issued a visa/identity card you must upload a scanned copy of the document into e:Vision BEFORE you travel to the UK. As soon as possible on arrival in York you must present your original passport and visa for verification. You should take your visa and passport to the Student Administration Building, which is open Monday to Friday, from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
You must provide a copy of your passport and visa no later than two weeks after arrival. Failure to do so will require the University to report you to the UK Border Agency, and your visa to study in the UK may be withdrawn. If you have any questions, please email: pbis@york.ac.uk
