Geth Griffith (Double Bass and Bass Guitar)
Geth Griffith has an eclectic taste in music which has led to work with Opera North, The Nolans, Emma Kirkby, various touring West End shows including the Rat Pack, Guys and Dolls and Miss Saigon; James Morrison, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and a top five hit record in Iran. Recent recordings include two live DVDs with the Black Dyke Brass Band and an album with John Helliwell, Mike Walker and Mark Hart of Crowded House.
In addition to teaching double bass and bass guitar at York University and Ampleforth College, Geth teaches Musicianship at the Royal Northern College of Music. He has run many jazz and improvisation workshops at colleges, schools and prisons nationwide and is a mentor for the Live Music Now scheme.
