Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment Collaboration
Posted on 22 November 2011
24 November 2011 sees the start of an exciting collaboration between the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment – one of the UK’s leading period instrument ensembles – the University of York Baroque Ensemble, and Music Education Group.

On 24 November, Cherry Forbes will lead a workshop on creative
approaches to music education, focussing on the OAE’s ‘Anthem 2011-2012’
project, and Matthew Truscott and Anthony Robson will direct string and wind
instrumental sessions. During the afternoon they will coach the Baroque
Ensemble alongside the ensemble in residence, Compagnia d’Istrumenti. On 25 November, Cherry Forbes will work with MEG at the National
Centre for Early Music. This collaboration will continue into 2012, culminating
in a grand finale concert at the National Centre for Early Music on 27 March 2012.
