CModS postgraduate forum wine reception

Postgraduate students from all disciplines working in the modern period are cordially invited to the Centre for Modern Studies postgraduate forum wine reception. The event will be an opportunity to find out about CModS and the different reading groups, research strands and projects it currently supports, and to meet other likeminded graduate students. The list of speakers includes:

 

  • Dr Emilie Morin (English), speaking as Co-director of CModS
  • Dr Richard Walsh (English), introducing 'Complexity in the Humanities' research strand
  • Dr Keith Allen (Philosophy), introducing 'Back to the Things Themselves'  research strand
  • Stephen Grace (English), introducing 'Poetry and Poetics' reading group
  • Alex Alonso and Anna Mercer (English), introducing Eborakon poetry magazine
  • Dr Julie Rugg (Centre for Housing Policy), introducing 'Death' research strand
  • Maddie Boden (History of Art), introducing 'Queer and Now' reading group
  • Dr Adam Kelly (English), introducing 'Freedom After Neoliberalism' research strand

The talks will last approximately 20 minutes in total, followed by nibbles and wine. Eborakon Issues 1 and 2 will be on sale at the event.
