AHRC Funding 2012/13

The main source of funding for EU and UK students is the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC)

The University has received an award allocation for a period of five years from October 2009 under its new Block Grant Partnership (BGP) scheme.  Details of the deadline for 2012/13 entry, and how many awards are available, will appear here in due course.  In the meantime, please do not delay your application for postgraduate study, as you have to have an offer from the Centre for Medieval Studies in order to be considered for an award (as with all scholarships from the University).  Please make sure you make it clear on your application that you intend to apply for AHRC funding. For information on how to apply to the CMS please consult our "how to apply" web page.  Also please read the University's AHRC funding pages to check for further information and eligibility requirements

As well as the block grant AHRC awards, two fully-funded PhD studentships are available to work as part of a major new project, ‘England’s Immigrants, 1330-1550’.  One studentship is available from the History Department, the other from the Centre for Medieval Studies. For further information on these studentships, please following this link.

Finally, please make sure that you keep in touch with us through the whole process and update us on any email address changes.

Good luck!
