Profile

Biography

As an undergraduate, I gained a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance and then successfully completed my MA in Accounting in 2005. I gained my PhD from The York Management School in 2010 with a thesis that examined  the  British Petroleum practices in Iran and thereby providing a clear picture of how nationalisation evolved on 1st May 1951 and how this was perceived by the stock market. My key reserach interests are financial disclosure, corporate social responsibility and business history. I have taught various undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Financial Accounting and Management Accounting.  I am an Associate of the Higher Education Academy of UK. I am a member of the Business History Conference (BHC) and European Business History Association (EBHA).
