Masters programmes at The York Management School (TYMS) are proving to be more popular than ever in 2010. A combination of factors including the increased demand for Masters programmes from arts and social sciences students, the economic recession and the weak pound has meant there has been a significant increase in applications for Masters programmes over the last two years. In January 2010, applications were on average 400% up on the same time last year. As a result, several of the TYMS programmes will be closed to new applications at the start of February 2010. It is the intention of the school to open up applications for a month (21/6/10 - 18/7/10) following the release of UK degree results at the end of June.
At that stage the school will have a better idea of how many remaining places are available.
Programmes closing to applications in February:
MA Management
MSc Management with Business Finance
MA Human Resource Management
MSc Accounting and Financial Management
MSc International Business and Strategic Management
All the above programmes will be open for further applications at the end of June 2010 for one month only.
Applications are still being taken for the MSc in Corporate Social Responsibility with Environmental Management, and MSc Health Management.
