Main research interests are in the areas of Corporate Governance - reserch topic: The influence of corporate governance on the R&D investment (I will analyse how Korean chaebol system has influenced R&D investment since the Asian financial crisis in 1997 focusing the case of Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics.)

Title of Research Topic: The influence of changed corporate governance structure on big investment for ICT business including high risk R&D Korea.

Profile

I completed my undergraduate degree in Telecommunication Engineering, at Hanyang University in South Korea in Feb 1993 - After this course, I worked in Korean Governmnet, Ministry of Communications and Information since 1993.
I took take responsibility of the policy regarding wireless service, digital TV, R&D in Korean ICT industry, etc. - From 2003 to 2005, with special joint traning progrmme between the Korean government and the Korean firms, I had worked at the LG Electronics for 2 years. At that time, I involved oversea sale of mobile handset and digital TV. - In 2006/2007, I undertook MA in Mamanagement at the York Management School supported Cevening Scholarship from the British Council. - I started PhD from Oct,2007.
