Profile

I obtained my undergraduate degree in English Literature and Philosophy (BA Joint Hons.) from the University of York in 2008. In 2009, I applied for, and was subsequently awarded, a scholarship from the York Annual Fund to study for an MA in Human Resource Management at The York Management School. In September 2010, I started my PhD in Human Resource Management, funded by a Graduate Teaching Assistant (GTA) scholarship. My duties as a GTA include tutoring the modules Human Resource Management and Development of Human Resources.

All of my work experience to date has been within the retail industry, in both store management and training roles. My doctoral research focuses on the predictors and application of non-financial recognition plans in UK retail organisations.
