Amanda Jones

Amanda Jones is an archivist at the Borthwick Institute for Archives, with responsibility for preservation and modern records. Collections she has catalogued include the Garrowby Estate Records (Halifax Archive), York Waterworks Company Archive, Terrys Archive (confectionary manufacturer) and the British Music Society of York. She has research interests in popular protest in early modern England and is currently preparing a monograph on the English risings of 1549 for publication with Pickering and Chatto. Teaches undergraduate palaeography 16th - 17th centuries.
