The Photographic Department is a one-stop shop for all your photography and digital imaging requirements. We offer a competitive, responsive and personal service for the whole University, and are happy to offer advice about any aspect of photographic and imaging work.
About us
Our in-house photographers provide a highly professional and extensive photography and imaging service. We can provide you with the best images to get your message across in promotional brochures and materials. We can also undertake scientific or technical assignments for research projects, and can produce engaging high quality digital images to support your teaching. You can also choose images from our large selection of stock photographs of campus life. Find out more information about our main services below.

Services
General photography:
We can undertake a full range of photographic assignments - from capturing formal events, seminars and conferences to producing quality portraits in our studio, or high quality scientific or technical work. We can also produce photographs for ID cards to the standards required for work in Schools or on NHS premises, and passport photographs.Our state of the art equipment enables us to produce superb results every time, at a highly competitive price.
We have a large selection of stock photographs of various aspects of campus life on file - so contact us if you are looking for a shot of some test tubes or a group of students - we may already have what you need!
Your images can be supplied in digital format on disk or as photographic prints.
Digital images:
We can scan your slides from the originals to create high quality digital images which can be used in presentations, websites and for teaching purposes. Our equipment enables us to produce digital images to a very high resolution, suitable for a variety of needs. We can also undertake digital re-touching of images to produce the best results to meet your needs.Slides:
We can produce 35mm slides to support your teaching or research. Please give us at least a weeks' notice for materials for lectures and presentations.Scanning:
We can scan your printed materials to a very high quality, in black and white or colour.
