Using IT in the Library

Your IT Account

As part of the University registration procedure, all new undergraduates, taught graduates and research graduates are automatically registered for IT facilities; your username and initial password will be emailed to you. You must then register your account on the Web before you can use any computing facilities.

Always keep your password and account secure. Do not give out your password to anyone.

Catalogue terminals

We provide over 40 terminals which give dedicated access to our Library Catalogue, Library Homepage, University Homepage and selected other library catalogues. It is not possible to print from these PCs as you can't login to them. The terminals are located throughout the JB Morrell, Raymond Burton, and King's Manor libraries.

To get access to full-text electronic resources and databases and to print you need to use a University network PC, computers in Departments or your own internet connection.
