Yorkshare VLE

How is the Library working with the Yorkshare VLE?

We are actively involved in the development of the VLE and aim to make access to Library resources via the VLE as easy and seamless as possible for both students and staff.

An increasing number of VLE courses now link to Library resources including the Library Catalogue, electronic journals and databases. Some courses use the new 'Resource List' feature to create electronic reading lists with dynamic, real-time links to resources enabling students to locate reading list materials more easily than ever before.

I am a student: how do I access Library resources from Yorkshare?

  • Use the 'Library' tab in the VLE for quick links to many Library resources
  • Watch for links to Library resources embedded in other areas of your course by your course tutor(s)

If you need help with navigating through your course you should ask your course tutor or one of the people listed in the 'Staff Information' area of your Yorkshare course (via the 'Staff information' link to the left of the Yorkshare screen)
