Jorum is a JISC-funded Service in Development in UK Further and Higher Education, to collect and share learning and teaching materials, and to allow their reuse and repurposing. Jorum is currently available to UK FE and HE institutions which can sign up to be both Users of and Contributors to Jorum.
The University holds a User Licence which gives members of the University access to several thousand resources in Jorum.
To gain access to Jorum, select 'User Login' from the Jorum homepage and log in using your University username and password via the UK Federation. On first sign-in, you will need to supply a few details; Jorum will then send you an email confirmation that you can access the service.
For further information about using Jorum, consult the User Guide.
The University is about to sign up as Contributors to Jorum, which will mean that staff from the institution can upload learning and teaching resources into the Jorum repository, for use by any other Jorum user in the UK.
Each department or project wishing to contribute must be registered with Jorum. Registration is administered by the Library. Please send the following information to Julie Allinson by email (contact details below):
If your project or department is already registered, but you would like to add new departmental or project contributors, you need to complete, sign and return the following form direct to EDINA National Data Centre, Causewayside House, 2nd Floor, 158-162 Causewayside, Edinburgh, EH9 1PR. This form will need to be signed by a departmental or project manager.
Jorum will only give accounts to named individuals, so it is important to complete and return this form.

Information about contributing is available in the Jorum Contributor Guide.
Depositors MUST clear the Intellectual Property Rights on any third-party material used within learning objects. If in doubt, please consult the Jorum licence, or contact the Library with any queries.
