Microfilms
The Borthwick's microform room contains a great deal of material available in self-service microform cabinets. The room is available for use from 9:15 am until the main library closing time. There are a number of different collections, and finding aids for them will be linked from this page as they become available in electronic format. Paper copies of all the finding aids remain available in the microform room. A microfilm reader-printer is available in the room. Cards to operate it can be purchased in the from the main library reception or photocopying office. Please note that the existence of a microfilm does not indicate the right to make copies from it. Please take careful note of the copyright labels affixed to each box.

- Microfilms of archive material where the originals are held by the Borthwick (MFB (PDF , 39kb)) This collection of microfilms has been made over a number of years, and includes most of our most-used archive collections. Researchers will often be asked to use these microfilms in preference to the original archives where there is a serious risk of damage or wear to the original.
