Library strategy and performance

Library & Archives governance

Library & Archives derives its plans and strategies from broader University of York Corporate Plans and Strategies. In particular these include the University Corporate Plan and the Information Strategy. In addition annual planning meetings take place with senior University staff, and the Library’s work, plans and performance are informed and enhanced through the Library Committee.

Library Committee

The Library Committee provides a forum for open discussion of matters relating to the Library and its services.

Normally the Committee meets once a term. Its membership is made up of an academic Chair, the Director of the Library & Archives, all the departmental library representatives, representatives from some academic centres and IT Services, and postgraduate and undergraduate student representatives.

This is an opportunity for you to share in policy-making decisions and to make suggestions for improvements in service provision.
