Academic Liaison
What we do
Each member of the Academic Liaison team is responsible for a small number of departments. We can help you learn to use the Library’s print and online collections effectively, and to identify relevant information from other sources. We work with academic departments and the other staff teams in the Library to develop the collections in each subject area, and to provide the best possible services for our users.
Contacting your Academic Liaison Librarian
If you are having problems identifying resources for your subject we strongly recommend that you contact your Academic Liaison Librarian who will be very happy to offer support either through email or in person.
You can book a 1:1 or group appointment with your Academic Liaison Librarian by email or telephone. Please note that there are cards containing contact details for all our Liaison Librarians at Help and Information in the JB Morrell Library.
Liaison Librarians can help you learn to:
- Search effectively in your subject area
- Use print and electronic resources
- Evaluate what you find
- Reference your work correctly
