
We welcome applications from international applicants, who wish to join the growing body of international students in our Department. We offer annual Scholarships for Overseas Undergraduate Students.
The Department of Language and Linguistic Science will award up to two scholarships to overseas undergraduate students for entry in 2013. Each scholarship is worth £1000 annually for the duration of the course, subject to satisfactory academic progress, and will take the form of tuition fee remission. Successful applicants will be required to meet the balance of the costs of their course and living expenses.
If you are applying for an undergraduate course in the Department of Language and Linguistic Science, and are liable to pay overseas fees, you are eligible to apply.
Scholarship applications should be made on the Language and Linguistic Science Undergraduate overseas scholarship application form (MS Word
, 74kb). Scholarship applications will be considered from those who have already applied, or have been accepted, for admission on to a course in 2013. Completed application forms should arrive at the University no later than 30th June 2013, but candidates should apply as early as possible. Late applications may not be considered.
The scholarships will be awarded to students on the basis of outstanding academic ability. Successful applicants with be notified as soon as possible after the deadline.
A scholarship will normally be renewed each year for the duration of the course, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
A scholarship may be terminated at any time when an unsatisfactory progress report is received by the department, or when an award-holder ceases to be a registered student of the University.
