IT classrooms for staff and students

Staff IT training room
W/N/218, in Wentworth college, is a staff-only IT classroom.
The room is equipped with:
- 12 PCs, connected to the University network
- An additional PC for the tutor, with projection facilities
- Printer
- Whiteboard
- Flipchart
- Phone
University staff can book this room and view existing bookings via Planon web.
Entry is via an access card, which can be collected from Wentworth Porters' Lodge.
Booking rooms - network at risk times
When booking a room, please bear in mind that the network is designated to be 'at risk':
- Tuesday mornings, 07.00 - 09.00
- Thursdays mornings, 07.00 - 09.00
These are the times when necessary maintenance work may be carried out on the SuperJANET network. IT Services may also use these periods for planned maintenance of the local network or associated facilities.
Although any planned downtime will be announced in advance, it is advisable to avoid planning network-dependent activities (eg IT training) during these times if possible.
