Outcomes into Practice Resource Pack was created by...
The authors of the pack are researchers with many years of experience in the social care field. Elinor Nicholas, Hazel Qureshi, Claire Bamford all worked for the Social Policy Research Unit within the Department of Health's Outcomes Programme 1996 -2000. The Outcomes into Practice Resource Pack is the result of five years of research into outcomes focused practice. The research looked at the most effective methods of bringing about organisational change to enable an outcomes focus to be used in implementing and assessing a high quality social care service. All the material in the pack was the result of collaboration with social care agencies across the country. This collaboration aimed to bring the best information and practical experience of moving towards outcomes focused work to the user of this resource.
Outcomes Network
The network aims to foster the exchange of information, mutual support and learning for those wishing to find practical ways of implementing 'outcomes approaches' within the field of social care. It fed into the creation of the Outcomes into Practice pack during the programme 2001-2005 and is now run under the auspices of the Better Commissioning Network of the Health and Social Care Change Agent Team at the Department of Health.
