Dawn graduated in 1996 from Middlesex University with an honours degree in Sociology and a diploma in Occupational Studies. In 2008, Dawn qualified as a counsellor, with a graduate diploma in counselling studies from York St John University.
Prior to joining SPRU in 2008 she worked as an administrative and editorial assistant for the Social Work Research and Development Unit.
In addition to providing general administrative support to the Unit, Dawn’s other duties include:
- administrative support to a number of specific projects
- non project-related support to Professor Nina Biehal
- administration of the Adults, Older People and Carers consultation group meetings
- administration of the Young People’s consultation group
- administration of the Parent consultation group
- administration of the Carers Special Interest group
- administration of monthly Adults, Older People and Carers team meetings
- compilation and submission of the monthly SPRU entry in the University magazine.
