Welcome to the Norwegian Study Centre at the University of York
We are a permanent study centre, based at the University of York in Northern England, for Norwegians and other nationals resident in Norway. Primarily we cater for students from Norwegian Universities and Colleges, but we also offer in-service courses for practising teachers of English as well as courses for various groups from the public and private sector.

Congratulations to Tim whose book The Everest Story (part of the Oxford Bookworms series) has just won the Language Learner Literature Award by the Extensive Reading Foundation.
We've moved!
At the end of August the NSC made a leap over to Quantum House, in the Science Park.
The Science Park is on the edge of the main university campus and just a short walk from our old location. For a map, please click here - Quantum House is located in the top right-hand corner (building below SP4).
We have new offices, a smart new reception and new teaching rooms which are equipped with new and shiny audio-visual equipment.
