Ambisonic Decoder
Copyright D.G. Malham, University of York, England 1996
The following circuit is for a decoder which is intended to go from B-format to cubic array of speakers. It is suitable for anyone who can do fairly basic electronic construction. There are no circuit board designs, so you will have to do your own or make it on stripboard and there is no power supply circuit, but it just requires + and - 15V stabilised at not too many milliamps, so you should be able to make your own. I am providing it as a service to the community, though it would be much appreciated if you would treat it as donation-ware, that is, if you build it, and use it, a donation of some sort would be most welcome. Commercial application - ie, if you build them for sale to other people - is strictly forbidden, without prior agreement from me, as I assert the rights to all intellectual properties in this design. Dave Malham, University of York, March 1996. Okay, having read that, here is the circuit diagram - it includes around 26K of .gif file.
