Charlie Lewis

Professor Charlie Lewis teaches in the Psychology Department at Lancaster University. His current research interests include the role of the father in the family; life experiences and family relationships; and preschoolers' understanding of the mind. He is the author of Becoming a Father (Milton Keynes: Open University Press, 1986) and co-edited with Margaret O'Brien, Reassessing Fatherhood (London: Sage, 1987). In addition to numerous articles on fatherhood, he has written several reports on parenting, work, family life and separation for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.
