Advisory Board

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to assist the Director and staff of CRD in achieving goals and objectives by providing feedback and advice from a range of healthcare specialty and stakeholder perspectives.

The Advisory Board will primarily advise and support CRD in the development and delivery of its core work programme which is funded through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Specifically, this covers producing the three CRD databases (DARE, NHS EED and HTA) as well as dissemination and training activities. The Board may also be invited to comment on activity that, whilst central to CRD’s role as a national centre, is funded outside of the core contract. This includes undertaking and disseminating systematic reviews and researching and developing the methods underpinning systematic reviews and the effective transfer of health research knowledge.
