BIOGRAPHY

Professor Suzanne Fitzpatrick is the Joseph Rowntree Professor of Housing Policy at the University of York and Director of the Centre for Housing Policy. The Centre is part of the Department of Social Policy and Social Work, along with its sister research units the Social Policy Research Unit and the Social Work Research and Development Unit .

Previously a lecturer in housing and social policy at the Department of Urban Studies, University of Glasgow , Suzanne was a member of the Scottish Executive's Homelessness Task Force and national Homelessness Monitoring Group and the Secretary of State for Work & Pensions Welfare Reform Advisory Forum. She is one of the ten members of the European Observatory on Homelessness. Suzanne is editor of the European Journal of Housing Policy.
