The expansion of homeownership through low cost homeownership schemes (LCHO) is important to current government policy. Low cost homeownership aims to overcome problems of affordability in many areas, as well as contributing to mixed communities and regeneration. To date research has focussed upon the costs to owners and how satisfied they are with the various types of LCHO such as shared ownership or Homebuy equity shares once they’ve moved in. Little is known about how LCHO owners move on to their next property as their aspirations or circumstances change. This project aims to discover more about this stage in the progress of LCHO owners. For more background information, please see the project web pages. |
