The University of York’s Centre for Lifelong Learning has been providing exceptional adult education for over 25 years.

Although we are a small unit, the range of work undertaken by the Centre is wide-ranging, and we pride ourselves on our entrepreneurial spirit.

We see our mission as being:
To provide exciting and pioneering adult education opportunities to citizens in the local community (City of York and North Yorkshire)
To use a wide variety of effective and innovative teaching and learning methods
To offer equality of opportunity to partake in lifelong learning activities
To provide high-quality educational courses in line with the University of York’s standards
To provide an enriching educational experience in a supportive environment, that is tailored, and responsive, to the needs of the individual
adult learner
To maintain a responsive and entrepreneurial approach to exploring and developing new programmes of study
