Biography

Catherine's research focuses on post-1945 artistic practice in Britain and America, including pop, assemblage, installation and performance. She is particularly interested in material culture exchanges between art, anthropology and ethnography; her thesis, supervised by Dr Jo Applin, is entitled 'The (Object) Lessons of Anthropology for Artists in Britain and America, 1950-70.' Her research is fully funded by the AHRC.
