Biography

Jasmine’s art-historical research focuses on nineteenth-century stained glass and visual culture; the medium's status, display, aesthetic, symbolic and cultural significance within nineteenth-century society. She is especially interested in the relationship stained glass has with its architectural surroundings, both ecclesiastic and secular.

Her doctoral research, funded by the AHRC, focuses on the classification, display and international circulation of stained glass at selected International Exhibitions held in Britain, France, America and Australian colonies between 1851 and 1900.
