Trials Websites and Courses

Working in partnership with colleagues to undertake national, scientifically rigorous, randomised trials of the effectiveness and efficiency of existing or potential health care interventions in health care, education and crime and justice.

New trials

• Humerus fracture trial.  Awarded by the NHS R&D National Coordinating Centre for Health Technology Assessment (NCCHTA) this trial will evaluate two different approaches for managing fracture of the humerus.  For more information about  this trial please contact Stephen Brealey 01904 321357 sb143@york.ac.uk

• Pragmatic randomised controlled trial of yoga for the treatment of chronic low back pain. Awarded by the Arthritis Research Campaign (ARC). Start date 1 April 2007. • VenUS IV (Venous leg Ulcer Study IV): A randomised controlled trial of compression hosiery versus compression bandaging in the treatment of venous leg ulcers.
